Hello! Welcome to our amazing gym! It is a real pleasure to meet you. We are Coach Alyssa and Coach Niles Putnam and we are the owners of Gym Starz and we want to welcome you to our passion of promoting physical fitness and mental well-being through the development of strength, self-discipline, and self-esteem here in our gymnastics environment.
We are the owners but we also play a major role in the teaching of the twinkles starz, recreational, and competitive programs as well as the day to day office administration. We truly do love gymnastics because it builds the self awareness and confidence in any boy or girl that tries the sport. Gymnastics can help develop muscles, body control, and self confidence in ways most have never seen. It is truly an all encompassing sport that every child should try at least once. A few fun things about us would be that Niles loves Mint Chocolate chip ice cream but I, Alyssa, hate ice cream, however LOVE Twix!!! (How can anyone not like ice cream... I mean really!?!?! YES its true) In the past, Niles was a competitive wrestler and can still pull out a round off, if you asked him, with style and grace ;-)
I, on the other hand paved the way as a competitive cheer leader for 20 years then ran our own gymnastics program for 3 years in PA. Currently Niles is enrolled in a masters program through the USAF for a degree in History/Education but already holds an Engineering degree from Penn State University. Niles has used this to guide his career as a Flight Engineer for the USAF as well as active duty for 10 plus years of service to the United States of America. I hold a Bachelors degree in Sociology/Human services, Bachelors in Child Psychology, and a Bachelors in Anthropology from attending Lycoming College in Williamsport PA. I also am the owner and operator of the successful "Grade A Cleaning" in Dover DE as well as the vice president of Pop Warner Cheerleading club.
Together we have two beautiful little girls who keep us on our toes every day, while two crazy dogs add to the mix, but we still carry a very strong team atmosphere here in the Putnam house hold. Our future goal is to grow Gym Starz to one of the leading gymnastics and recreational facilities in Delaware. Our family is unique in our passion for what we do and truly care about every child at our facility. We are a hard working family dedicated to the betterment of Gym Starz, LLC.
As a side note, we are literally obsessed and live for anything and everything Mickey related... We are avid campers and travelers and have put our mark on 47 of the 50 states! Only 3 left on the bucket list ;-)

Well, Hi There!!! My name is Coach Becky and I absolutely adore gymnastics! My biggest joy is the challenge of training my body to do amazing things that it once couldn't do! Plus its just plain ole' fun to flip around!! :-) A fun fact about me is that my favorite ice cream happens to be black cherry, which isn't too common, but what most people don't know is that I used to be a software engineer.
My future has become one of serving others by putting my entire life in the hands of the lord and letting him use me to serve those with all my heart for the glory of god... One thing that each parent should know is that the time spent here at gym starz is truly priceless when i'm able to see the kids, adults too, grow and improve! Not only in sport.... But in the game of life as well!

My name is Coach Christy! I’m going to be your curly hair girl. 😀 What I like about Gym Starz is that it has a happy, healthy atmosphere. Having this kind of environment improves productivity, fights depression and helps build self-morale. You gotta be smart in enrolling your kids on any gymnastics gym because participating in a class from a younger age is important to them.

Well, hey there! I'm Coach Zaria :-) I teach the preschool (shooting starz and shining starz), the future starz, gym 1, gym 2, gym 3 and I love it! One of my favorite things about gym starz is that it has a very friendly environment allowing me to have extraordinary fun!
I love gymnastics so very much because it incorporates your entire body and because its such an interesting sport. If I had to pick a favorite ice cream, it would definitely be Oreo, but my obsession is with Chick-Fil-A! Currently I'm attending Dover High School with my eyes set on becoming a lawyer or an FBI agent as a career when I get older. One thing the parents can always know about me is that I will always push their kids to do their best, but I'm an extremely easy going person.

Hello folks! Coach Aaliyah here! Remember that name when you visit Gym 1 and Gym 2. Gym Starz always brightens up my day. I love working with the kids, they’re fun and sweet. They are truly lovely and cute. Being with them is one of the reasons why I love gymnastics so much. But look! There’s more! I love cheerleading and the sport is the closest way to it. 🙂
Ben and Jerry’s caramel cookie crunch ice cream is my favorite. It tastes really good and I usually eat more than i'm told! I have my tertiary education in Polytechnic. All I want is to become a cheerleading coach one day because my heart is full of joy when it comes to cheerleading! I would like to join the USAF as well and go to the Temple University of FAMU. So, if you’re looking for a coach who likes tumbling so much and is so enthusiastic, always taking on a leadership role and willing to take a physical challenges...remember Aries. (Aaliyah rather 😉)

Coach Alex here! I teach Shining Starz at Gym 1 as well as Shooting Starz and Future Starz classes. It’s been a year since my coaching career started. Gym Starz has a very great atmosphere where laugh and fun are everywhere. I love gymnastics because everyone can do it no matter how bad or out of shape the body is. The sport works well for both recreational and competitive purposes.
My favorite ice cream is cookies and cream and I usually don’t feel like sharing when I have it. 😀 Having the capacity to write with my left and right hand helps a lot in my Caesar Rodney High School classes. I’m a boy who wants to continue coaching at Gym Starz and better myself in training others. I’m friendly and sweet. If you get your kids in, they gonna love me.

Hi! I’m Coach Nikki! I’m in the advanced pre-school class. If you have a toddler or toddlers and you want to stimulate the child’s physical and mental development through movement, this is probably a good match. In Gym Starz, I like watching girls grow. Not probably in height but in a much deeper way. 😀 Seeing them become successful in a small way makes me feel happy.

Gymnastics is an individual sport that’s truly fun and interesting. It is where I share my cookies and cream ice cream and live life like it doesn’t have downs. One fun fact about me is that I love traveling. Why fun? Because I used to do tumbling and splitting when I found something amazing. 😀 I’m attending Smyrna High School aiming to be a pediatrician one day. Ms. Victoria here to keep things in order. I’m in daytime playtime class helping children 16 months and up experience an ultimate physical, mental and social development period of time. Hi There! They call me Coach Marcus! I teach everyone here about life! I’m your one and only coach Marcus. I teach private lessons and tumbling. If your kid doesn’t like to be with regular team groups and coaching, your kid is going to need a friendly man dude that gives the truth to them on a level they understand! Gym Starz is such a very comfortable environment. I love helping starz whose skills need some one-on-one attention.
