When gymnasts are unmotivated, they cannot be coached. Everything you do is just a throw in the wind. Whether you’re a coach, a gymnast or the parent of a gymnast, you have to do with motivation. How do we do that? Well, there are so many ways. Here you will learn how coaches and parents can motivate gymnasts – the right way. The Power of Coaches If a child is lack of motivation, the activity might no longer suit her or there might be other reasons a coach need to figure out. Motivation is not about threatening someone to do something; it is about letting the inner desire of the child out with courage. Every coach has to deal with motivating the underachievers. It can sometimes be frustrating but seeing someone doing best can be the happiest feeling for a dedicated motivator for sure. Coaches truly care enough for the participants to seek and explore different learning methods for their own good. Coaches could get a gymnast encouraged in the gym but they find it easier to lift up someone talented and self-motivated already. It is the coach’s responsibility to take control all of the athletes under them and parents should be worry-free relying on them. The Help of Parents When a coach is out, it is the responsibility of a parent to take in. A great motivation starts at home. If you see your child is already motivated, do not step or blur your child’s motivation. See what your children really want and be swift in assisting them, not on forcing what you want for them. Look also for behavior patterns that show a child’s motivation and get some relevant actions to lift them up. Figuring out what really motivates takes time. If your child doesn’t have it for a moment, don’t worry. Allow her to find what really interests her most instead. If your kid is doing good behavior and hard work, encourage her. This is how you can cheer her up and get her motivated. Conclusion
Knowing what is motivation and what is not is hard. If your eyes can’t see it, talk to the child to hear it. Help the kids express what they really do enjoy. Then, motivation will come next.

I love that you mentioned that the coaches should be responsible for keeping someone motivated in this activity, and it is not the problem of the parent. With that in mind, I will be looking for a coach that has a good reputation when it comes to their relationship with their students to ensure that my child will continue this once she starts. My daughter started being interested in this activity when she accidentally saw the competition of gymnasts on TV a month ago. Thanks for the tips!
