Safety & COVID-19 Policy

Safety Policy

We at Legends are continually taking steps to ensure the safety of every person who comes to our gym.  We would like to invite you to partner with us to be thoughtful of yourself and others at the gym. We want to be wise and take precautions to protect all our staff, gymnasts, and families. Here are some safety practices that will help us to all stay healthy:

  • We ask that parents not crowd the waiting room.  ONE PARENT or ADULT is allowed in the waiting room with your child. If your child is OVER the age of 6 please wait in your vehicle. You may come in to drop off and then come back when classes are over. This is to accommodate the little people that NEED a parent with assistance in the restroom.

  • Please refrain from crowding our point of egress (black gate).  We understand all parents want to see their child enjoy their time in class but it is a huge safety hazard to have this area blocked.  We ask all parents/guardians to keep this area clear and we ask that you do not pass the black gate (unless using the bathroom).  If in the instance of an emergency we also need to keep all traffic areas free and clear.

  • Interacting with your child while in class is a distraction and can be a major safety risk for your child and coaches.  Under no circumstance should you call/yell/talk to your child while they are in their class. This is a safety hazard.  During their time in class, their attention and focus need to be on their coach's instructions and guidance to avoid and/or prevent injury. If you need your child, please see someone in the office.  If your child needs your assistance, the coach or office staff will assist you.

  • Wash hands often with soap and water and use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the gym.

  • Stay home if sick, have a fever, or a cough. Legends staff have been instructed to refuse service to anyone who exhibits flu-like symptoms. Please be understanding.  You WILL be allowed two make-up classes per month within 30 days of missed class.

  • Our staff is cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects. Legends disinfects all surfaces in the parent viewing area as well as both bathrooms.   We have maintained this cleaning schedule because it's been successful at controlling not only COVID, but other illnesses as well.

We are closely monitoring State and Federal rules and guidelines that are being set forth and are obliging by any mandates given.  We are continually following the guidelines and will make necessary changes as they arise.  Under the advice of medical professionals, we are practicing safe protocols with the continual sanitizing and disinfecting of equipment and areas as well as ventilation with all fans on and with doors being kept open.

No system is foolproof, but we feel confident that we are striking a reasonable balance between maintaining healthy caution and being realistic about the environment at the gym.

We appreciate all our families, and we understand your concerns.  Rest assured, we want all of our families and staff to remain safe!
